Tell Me How Career Series - Career Education and Opportunities for Young People. Recommended for both School, Public Libraries and Guidance Offices. The Tell Me How series is a necessary addition to any library, guidance center of school curriculum. It explores a large number of career opportunities for young people and features real people doing real jobs. In this program hosts, Melody and Jeff team up to explore the occupation of one of the most famous animal trainers in the world: Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus's own Mark Gebel. They watch as Mark works with ferocious tigers and crafty elephants. Subjects Covered Include: What is the most important thing to do to train wild animals? What is it like to work for a circus? How does one become an animal trainer? Are elephants smart? Do elephants remember a lot? What is positive reinforcement? What type of person makes a good animal trainer? Is being an animal trainer dangerous? Do circus performers travel a lot? How does one get an education while working with a circus? What tools do you use to train animals? What happens to animals after they are too old to perform at the circus?
