The Year in Fashion 2010 brings you the brightest fashion highlights of the past 12 months! The Spring/Summer 2010 season kicked-off with Fashion’s Night Out—an initiative founded by Vogue editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour. America’s acclaimed couturier, Ralph Rucci, allowed a rare behind-the-scene look at a fitting for his Spring/Summer 2010 collection. The Museum of Art and Design in New York celebrated former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright’s soft power with the first ever exhibition of her personal broach collection. Burberry made its runway debut on home soil at London Fashion Week. The year also saw the top talent in fashion honored at the Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards. The relatively unknown but highly creative New York designer Sophie Theallet became the CFDA/VogueFashion winner. The Dolce & Gabbana 20th Anniversary collection brought the audience to tears. From Paris, ‘90s top model Kristen McMenamy served as muse to design duo, Viktor & Rolf. Plus, we pay special tribute to the late Alexander McQueen.
